Volunteer work:

Mandy enjoys volunteering in her spare time. In 2010 and 2011, she led two teams of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Speech Pathologists to Bali. The goal of the trip was to train local “therapists” in the provision of therapy services to people with disabilities living in remote villages across the island. The role required creativity, collaboration and leadership to ensure a culturally sensitive approach to finding solutions with very limited resources.

Mandy regularly volunteers with NSW Arthritis and Osteoarthritis to provide education and support to children, adolescents and their parents with regards to managing chronic arthritis in children with a complex diagnosis. She received an award from His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley in appreciation of this work.
